Developer Internship - Energy Global

Job description

We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern as of October 2020 who’s passionate about technology and eager to learn! Energy Global is an energy trading company responsible for purchasing and selling energy. We have the challenging and exciting responsibility, to forecast the price, the consumption, the production, and the distribution of energy. Energy Global is indirectly responsible for the distribution of 16% of the energy used in the Dutch consumer market. Our customers are larger utility companies such as Budget Thuis.


Since we create all of our applications ourselves, we are looking for an ambitious intern willing to help us grow and increase our stake in the Dutch energy market.

We would like you to bring:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program of which IT is an important component (such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business IT;
  • Your reasoning and intellectual framework are at an academic level (higher vocational education or university;
  • Experience with APIs, version control (Git), and containers (e.g. Docker) is preferred;
  • Experience with PHP and Symfony is preferred;
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS is preferred;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (and Dutch);
  • You are residing in the Netherlands and have a valid Dutch residence permit;
  • Developing is something you really like to do;
